Property Has a Burglar Alarm

Security details are used to determine if minimum security requirements are met. It may also enable a reduction in the premium.

Note the following differences between the types of alarms.

A local alarm only sounds when triggered. There is no dial out to advise anyone of the disturbance.

A monitored back to base sounds when triggered and dials out to a security company or emergency service. A discount applies to the policy premium.

A Securitel/Landline is an alarm that sounds when triggered and dials out. The dial out is to a predetermined list of contacts that have been supplied by the insured, e.g. the insured, a neighbour or a friend.
